So it begins the race for The Cup, eh?

This radio thing is GREAT I commend whoever created it .   Yesterday I was listening to the Colorado Redwings, oops there I go again, the Colorado Avalanche playoff game against the Minnesota Wild with the announcers, I forget the names, adding color.

Doing some bookkeeping and other stuff online I listen to Patrick Roy’s first game back in the playoffs since the stunning elimination of the Avalanche by Minnesota Wild a way back in 2003.  That was sweet to see and interesting to note Mr. Roy hung up his pads soon after.  HHHHHMMMM?  Anyhow when either the Avalanche or the Wild buzzed the opponents net the Minnesota radio jockey’s voice rose to that excited level in anticipation of a GGGOOOAAALLL I was drawn in as if watching!  With heart pumping as if two energy drinks had been consumed I paced the computer room floor, paused and hung to the back of my chair as the 3rd period clock wound down 50 seconds,35, 20, then at the 13 second mark with Avalanche goalie, Semyon Varlamov, pulled Colorado tied the game sending it into overtime where they won the first game.  I then proceeded to take the dog for a walk in order to calm down.  I love radio.

Go Wings!
Go Wings!

and Boston will be fun to listen to as brothers Brendan (Redwings) and Reilly (Bruins) Smith square off against each other and fulfill boyhood dreams of playing against each other in the Finals, kinda like the kid dreaming of hitting the game winning home run to win baseball’s World Series.  BUT what will make this game the more enjoyable aside from Ken Kal and Paul Woods radio persona’s is that these two teams will be on NBC television this Sunday as part of double-header along with game two of the Philadelphia Flyers New York Ranger.  NBC is the only station I get that is broadcasting Lord Stanley’s playoff.  Yes!

I enjoy photography, writing, walking, nature, reading, and of course the coooolest game on earth HOCKEY! I took up photography in 9th grade and seeing the world in a different light wanting to, of course, photograph everything, unfortunately not everything comes out the way I'd like.
